CaSSSA High Performance Camp
The Inaugural CaSSSA High Performance Camp was held from 17-19th September, 2021 at the Runaway Bay Performance Centre.
27 CaSSSA Students were selected to attend the High Performance Camp, based on their potential and commitment to compete at the highest level of their chosen sport.
Led by professional athletes and industry leading professionals, the High Performance Camp engaged our athletes in 3 days of invaluable workshops and training sessions including sports psychology, nutrition, female athlete health & wellness, recovery and injury prevention as well as strength and conditioning and coaching explicit to the attendees’ chosen sports.
The camp was deemed a huge success with attendees providing the following feedback:
"The overall experience was amazing, from the new friendships made with the girls from other CaSSSA schools different perspectives and sporting backgrounds, to the beautiful facilities, to the people who will forever inspire me not only in sport but in my day-to-day life."
"I honestly cannot thank you enough for this wonderful experience and its impact on my future sporting endeavours. I truly believe that this camp would be ever so beneficial to young sportswomen just like all the girls who attended this year’s camp. I hope that it will carry on for many years to come."
"I have taken so much in that I aim to apply to my sport and life. The second day of the camp was my favourite, where I took many pieces of advice on pre-performance mental skills and recovery from General and Sports Psychologist, Chris Haddock, as well as becoming more aware of my body and its health with Harriet Brown, and learning how to improve on my daily diet and healthier habits to establish as an athlete with Tara Partridge."
In 2022, the CaSSSA High Performance Camp will again be held at the Gold Coast Performance Centre from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th September, 2022.
Each School is invited to send two students along to this camp, who they believe exemplify excellence in their chosen sport/s.
